Your journal and account
You don’t need an account to journal here. Your moments and Signal belong to this browser on this device; they won’t automatically appear on another phone or computer. Your Signal is a summary of your own entries, not a score or a diagnosis.
Your breathing pause
An optional 15-second guided pause after saving a moment. This preference applies to this browser.
What stays in your journal
Your words, situation, event, time, optional intensity, pack ID, and any follow-up you choose to share. A random identifier connects your moments without needing a name or email.
Where it goes
Your journal words are saved in this browser on this device. Broad situation categories and check-in results from new moments are shared with Seren by default, unless you turn sharing off below. Anyone with access to this browser may see it. Clearing browser data removes it. Nothing from your personal journal is added to the synthetic business dashboard.
If you select “Use AI to organise my words”, your text is sent to OpenAI through our server to suggest categories. API requests use store: false; provider safety retention policies can still apply. Without consent, simple local rules suggest categories that you can correct.
If you use voice, your browser may send audio to its own speech recognition provider. Signal stores the resulting text, not an audio recording. Typing always works without microphone access.
Help shape Seren
New moments can contribute their broad situation category and Better/Same/Worse result to Seren’s private marketing research dashboard. No journal text, names, email addresses, feelings, intensity or exact entry times are sent. Previously saved entries are not uploaded.
On by default unless you previously opted out or your browser requests Do Not Track. Turn off anytime. Random browser and entry identifiers prevent duplicates; this is not linked to an account. The owner sees aggregates only. Records are retained for up to 90 days and pruned on new submissions. Turning off removes this browser’s contributions. Clearing browser storage first loses the removal identifier.
Help make Signal simpler?
Optional: share whether you open, start and save a moment, using a random browser identifier. No words, feelings, categories or account details are sent with these events.
Off by default. You can turn it off here anytime. Activity older than 90 days is pruned when new events arrive; the team sees aggregate counts. Turning this off stops future activity sharing.
Your experience stays yours
Better, Same, and Worse are self-reported observations. Check-ins do not count as new entries. Milestones celebrate your journal entries; the proposed 100-entry / 20%-off reward is not redeemable yet.
Keep a copy of your journal.
Save a backup file, then import it on another browser or phone. Existing entries stay; matching entries aren’t duplicated.
Choose the .json file you downloaded from Signal. You can use it to move your journal between your phone and computer.
The file contains your private words. It stays on your device and isn’t uploaded by this import tool. This is a manual backup, not an account.
Optional cloud backup
Cloud backup is not connected yet. Use the download and import controls above to keep a portable copy. A recoverable account option is being prepared.
Start fresh
Deleting your local profile permanently removes this browser’s moments, follow-ups, preferences and reward progress. The fictional demo profiles are separate.
